Romeo y Julieta 1875 Short Churchill Tubed & Hine Miniature Gift Box
People knew that Sir Winston Churchill liked Hine Cognac and Romeo y Julieta cigars 1875 . He will never have tried these two current examples, but we think he would have liked them! An hour of Churchill-like pleasure.
The Romeo Y Julieta Short Churchill is a robusto cigar with a medium flavor that is properly balanced. One of our best-selling cigars and one of my personal favorites. This beauty looks good from every angle. Expect a flavor that is earthy and spicy, with strong overtones of walnut and maple. Romeo y Julieta is the traditional medium-bodied brand because it has a balanced and aromatic blend of chosen leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region.
The name Romeo y Julieta comes from the tragic lovers in William Shakespeare’s play. The cigar has been around since 1875.
A Gift Set of High-Quality Cigars and Cognac
Don “Pepin” Rodriguez, a skilled promoter, helped the brand become famous around the world in the early 1900s. He was one of the first to see how powerful the cigar band was. In his prime, there were at least 20,000 distinct bands employed in production.
Winston Churchill became a big fan of the brand. Since his trip to Havana in 1946, his name has not only been used to name a band, but it has also been used to describe the brand’s most famous size, Romeo y Julieta Churchill.
In the 21st century, two more sizes with the same name have come out. In 2006, they added the first one, dubbed Short Churchill. It was a robusto size that had been lacking from the range. Wide Churchills was the second to come out, and it was the 21st Festival del Habano in 2010. Which has a 55 ring gauge to show that cigar lovers are leaning toward thicker vitolas.
Romeo y Julieta has the most long filler sizes of any Habano brand today.
HINE CIGAR RESERVE XO COGNAC
Bernard Hine and Nicholas Freeman, who was the Chairman of UK Havana Cigar Importers Hunters & Frankau until he died.
They used their years of experience and love of good Cognac and the best cigars to make this rich and unique cognac. Learn more about cigar facts and stats here.
It has been aged for more than 12 years in the Hine cellars in Jarnac, and its depth and complexity go perfectly with a good handmade cigar.
It is made from more than 20 eaux de vie from the Cognac region’s four main grape varieties: Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, and Fins Bois.
This Cognac is quite good and well-balanced. It goes nicely with a handmade Havana cigar, but it’s also good enough to drink on its own.
When you buy Cuban cigars from The Cigar Club, you’re getting more than 50 years of experience in the business. We check the quality of everything we send out. All of our Havana cigars have the EMS (English Market Selection) stamp of quality. This makes sure of both quality and origin.
